SoftArchium was founded in 2021 by Suraj Chavda. He runs it as CEO and CTO and still does the architecture. Shumaila leads marketing and operations. A bench of trusted specialists joins when a job needs them.
Who leads it
I am Suraj Chavda. I have spent 19 years designing and running cloud-native distributed systems: eleven of them at Avaya, then at Amazon on the Alexa devices fleet, and since 2021 through SoftArchium. I have held fractional CTO seats, split monoliths into services that stayed up, and made the case for engineering work in the language a board understands.
The record is in the case studies: settlement 40% faster after an event-driven rebuild, a pricing engine taken from twelve seconds to two, a policy server at 5,000 authorisations a second, and a development centre built from zero to a 30% revenue contribution in six months.
On technology
I am not tied to a stack. I have shipped on most of the mainstream ones and will work in the one you run. What carries across is the engineering: where to draw boundaries, what must stay consistent, what to measure, what to leave out. That judgment is what you hire.
What the firm is
A founder-led firm built around distributed systems architecture, with three services that use the same discipline: fractional CTO advisory, product engineering, and training for engineering teams. I own every engagement end to end. Specialists I have worked with for years, in security, QA and delivery, join by name when the work calls for it.
How we work
Find the real constraint, which is usually a boundary rather than a bottleneck. Design the change that removes it. Sequence the work so each step is useful on its own and can be rolled back. Write the reasoning down.

Bring the mechanism, not the complaint
The best brief says why something is broken, not only that it is. Half the diagnosis is already in your head.
Ideas are separate from the people holding them
A flaw in a design is a debugging result, not an attack. Feedback runs both ways.
Say it plainly
If an approach will not work, you hear so early, with the reasoning. Sometimes the answer is that you do not need us.
Leave something operable
The engagement has worked when your team runs the system without us: decisions documented, runbooks tested.
